2010 Update

Thank you to many of you who have shown interest in our ornaments this year.  I’m so sorry for the confusion there has been on pricing.
Last year when we were starting to make the ornaments we were still experimenting with fabrics and designs, as well as trying to gage people’s interest in the ornaments.

All the pricing and details should now reflect the current 2010 season. As of today (11/13/10) we are in the process of adding a category on our other business website, to make it possible to purchase a set and specify the individual ornaments.

Just to confirm, the customized sets come in 25, or 30, and individual ornaments are available as well.

Each personally selected set of 25 ornaments is $160+ tax when applicable, or $190 for a set of 30.

Any additional ornaments, or single ornaments are available for $7 a piece + tax.

What is a Jesse Tree?

Advent is a time of waiting, a time of anticipation and preparation for the coming of Jesus. There are many ways to get ready for Christmas. One way is through a Jesse Tree.

What is a Jesse Tree? It is a tree branch decorated with symbols representing the stories of people in Jesus’ family tree. In Isaiah 11:1 we read, “A shoot shall come out from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots.” Jesse was the father of David, Israel’s greatest king. And it was from David’s lineage that Jesus came. That’s where the idea of using a Jesse Tree to celebrate Advent came from. Before a symbol is hung on the branch, a Bible passage or a story from a story Bible is read.

“The Jesse Tree is a unique Advent tree that can be very useful and fun for teaching children about the Bible at Christmas time. The Jesse Tree represents the family tree, or genealogy of Jesus Christ.   It tells the story of God’s salvation plan from creation and throughout the Old Testament, to the coming of the Messiah. The name comes from Isaiah 11:1, “Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.”   (NASB)

Each day of Advent an ornament is added to the Jesse Tree, any small tree will work fine, and a correlating scripture passage is read.  These symbolic ornaments  each represent a prophecy foretelling of Christ, ancestors in the lineage of Christ, and various symbols of Christianity. “

This site was designed with the purpose of displaying our hot-off-the machine Jesse Tree Ornaments for 2009 .

Our family had a very difficult time finding the perfect set of ornaments to accompany our Jesse Tree Christmas Advent, so we decided to create our own.

Every ornament is handmade and embroidered with the finest quality fabrics and threads for a lifetime of family memories.

Each set of 25 or 30 can be customized to fit your family’s needs and the devotional that you choose.
There are over 40 ornaments to choose from when you create your set.  Each set of 25 is $160 + tax, each set of 30 is $190, and any additional ornaments you choose will be $7 each.

We also offer the option to just purchase single ornaments for $7 each if you’d like to supplement a collection you already have.
